The Grolier Club’s Collection of Book Auction Catalogues: An Overview and Access Guide

The Grolier Club Library is renowned for its comprehensive and accessible collection of book catalogues of all types—including sale, private (i.e. domestic), and institutional catalogues. Among these, its collection of auction sale catalogues is preeminent, supporting intensive research into the history of the antiquarian book trade, collecting, and book ownership. This post provides an overview of the Grolier Club's auction catalogue collection, along with tips on how to find and access these materials in its library (at the time of writing).
