On December 9, 2021, the Bibliographical Society of America hosted a virtual roundtable which brought together experts from key libraries and organizations dedicated to the preservation of colonial Latin American books and manuscripts in the United States and Mexico. Our conversation was conducted in Spanish and is available for viewing on the BSA’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmxVJcGzYPQ). An English version of this roundtable (translated by Michael M. Brescia and lighted edited for readability) is in PBSA 117, no. 1 (March 2023): 111–23. Participants in the roundtable, in addition to ourselves as moderators, were Hortensia Calvo, Latin American Library, Tulane University; Stella González Cicero, Apoyo al Desarrollo de Archivos y Bibliotecas de México (ADABI); José Montelongo, John Carter Brown Library; and Mercedes Isabel Salomón Salazar, Biblioteca Histórica José María Lafragua, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
